How good is your competition? How good are you?

I’ve written about this before, and I’ll write about it again, competition makes you better. I’m watching a “classic” US Open Djokovic v. Nadal match on Tennis Channel and marveling at the level of competition. So good, so good for the sport, so good for the fans.

So, if you’ve got a tough competitor relish it. Yes, go go go for delivering what your customers want. Make it easy, even enjoyable. Yes, I said enjoyable.

I read CB Insights daily emails regularly. (“Without data you’re just another person with an opinion.) Man, are they enjoyable. Laugh. Out. Loud. and learn. OK, I’m not a paying customer but I can see how they draw people into their visualized data day in and day out. And, we know, the more your customers use your services the more likely they’ll stick around for the long run. Maybe even pay more. Hello brand equity, hello LTV, hello great relationships built on great experiences.

Back to tennis. So what makes great broadcasting? Great content of course. So what you got? Is it really better than what your nemesis serves up? If not, get to it. And, have some fun while you’re at it.
